TRAVELLING TO MINGANIE

By car :

By car, follow route 138 to get to Minganie. If you leave from Quebec or Montréal, it is a good idea to take at least 2 days to do the road. 

The Matane – Godbout/Baie-Comeau ferry is an option if you wish to pass by the Gaspésie or South Shore

If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, several charging stations are available along the route: see the map.

By bus :

Intercar provides bus transportation from Québec City to Sept-Îles in a single day. The trip continues the next day towards Havre-Saint-Pierre.

By Airplane:

Air Liaison is currently the only airline offering scheduled flights to Havre-Saint-Pierre from Québec City and Montréal–Saint-Hubert.

Be sure to look into the Québec government’s Regional Air Access Program (PAAR), which can provide substantial discounts on eligible flights.

By the Bella-Desgagnés ferry :

The Bella Desgagnés is a supply ship that operates a weekly trip between Rimouski and Blanc-Sablon, with a stop in Havre-Saint-Pierre. Travelling aboard the Bella Desgagnés is an experience in itself, offering a unique way to discover the Lower North Shore and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The boat departs Rimouski on Mondays and arrives in Havre-Saint-Pierre on Wednesday morning. On the return journey, it passes at Havre-Saint-Pierre on Sunday before arriving back in Rimouski on Monday.

You can also simply find fresh seafood at the local Poissonnerie du Havre and savor them on one of the numerous beaches in M­inganie.

At Baie-Johan Beetz

The general store, Les choix de Marguerite, is a nice place to take a coffee or to find organic and healthy food.

At Aguanish

The restaurant le Goynish with their homemade smoked salmon.

Le Camping Relais des Cayes proposes a bar and a pleasant atmosphere.

At Natashquan

Le goût du large located next to the little Natashquan River, with its dishes inspired by its environment.

Le café-bistro l’Échourie has an exceptionnal view on the sea, and a selection of beers, wine and many different dishes.
